English Final Reflection

Violeta Pelagio: 

1) What was your function within the planning/performing of the play? 

I think I was participating in almost all the areas. I helped painting the scenery, made some “skulls” for props even though we ended up not using them because we ran out of time to finish them, we couldn’t just put something on the scenario looking unfinished, and most importantly I played “Prosodia” in the play. Most of the girls wanted play smaller roles so I took it on myself to play Prosodia (but if I’m being honest I wanted to play her from the beginning.) I felt the need to help in every aspect I could because I really wanted the play to turn out decent. 

2) What did you learn about teamwork in this activity? 

I learned that sometimes a team will not be perfect, and some members will do less thanthe others but in the end you’ll have to make it work. A group that works together is fun and productive, at least to some degree. 

3) Which abilities do you think you need to strength when it comes to teamwork? 

I have to learn how to not be so bossy, and just let some thing slide. I found myself telling people what to do and how to do things, just to end up taking those tasks for myself. It gives me peace of mind to know that things were done the way I intended, but it’s not healthy either for the team or for me.If it’s not my work then I have no control over it. I have to learn it and embrace it, that way i’ll be less stressed and and have less work charge when working in teams.
